THE NORDWESTDEUTSCHE PHILHARMONIE´S INTERNATIONAL SUMMER ACADEMY

pursues the idea of combining the promotion of young musicians with the concert season of our orchestra. In our master classes, we invite young talents to develop their skills while working with prominent soloists, and to perform in our daily concerts.

We are glad to present again Fabio Bidini, internationally acclaimed soloist and professor for piano at the Academy of Music „Hanns Eisler" Berlin, to pass on his profound experience to young pianists. This year we also welcome again the worldwide celebrated cellist Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Professor at Dresden University of Music and Berlin University of the Arts, who is offering his knowledge and abilities to the young generation.

This year we will again meet students of last year's master class: Two musicians received the
Audience Award 2009 and will play a concert with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie during the Summer Academy. We are glad to thereby accompany and promote their artistic
career.

We would like to invite young musicians to share the rich experience of Fabio Bidini and
Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, to develop their own talents and skills, and to present the
results to our audience.
